Asbestos Surveyor – Portsmouth

About the role

A well‑established UKAS‑accredited asbestos consultancy is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to support a growing workload across Portsmouth and the wider South Coast. The role focuses purely on surveying duties for commercial, industrial, education, healthcare and public sector properties.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Management, Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in line with HSG264.
• Conduct bulk sampling across a variety of property types.
• Produce accurate and compliant asbestos survey reports.
• Survey commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and public sector sites.
• Manage workload independently with support from an established operations team.
• Ensure all work complies with current legislation and HSE guidance.

Required profile

• BOHS P402 certification (essential).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Asbestos Surveyor.
• Strong understanding of HSG264 and asbestos legislation.
• Experience within a UKAS‑accredited consultancy (preferred).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Professional, organised and reliable.
