Assistant Client Manager – Accountancy & Business Advisory

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing accountancy and business advisory firm to find an Assistant Client Manager. This hybrid role blends client relationship management with people leadership, giving you the chance to work with owner‑managed businesses and ambitious SMEs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of owner‑managed businesses, entrepreneurs and growing companies.
• Build trusted, long‑term client relationships and act as the primary point of contact.
• Review accounts and ensure high‑quality delivery of client work.
• Support and mentor junior team members, fostering their development.
• Collaborate with Directors and senior leaders on client strategy.
• Identify opportunities to add value, improve outcomes and contribute to business development.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified accountant.
• Experience in a UK accountancy practice, preferably as a Senior Accountant, Client Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Familiarity with owner‑managed businesses and SME clients.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Proactive mindset with a desire to develop others.
