Assistant Estimator Administrator – Gas Installation & Quotations

About the role

This office‑based position supports the Gas Installation Department by preparing quotations, managing material orders and ensuring accurate job records from survey to completion. You will work closely with Surveyors, Supervisors and Installation Engineers to keep projects on schedule and meet customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Appraise and edit property survey reports, confirming accuracy and feasibility.
• Update job records, identify material requirements and operative hours for efficient scheduling.
• Apply schedule of rate codes to all aspects of each installation project.
• Generate customer quotations using company templates and system configurations.
• Issue quotation letters to clients via email promptly and professionally.
• Process purchase orders for future works and same‑day material needs.
• Manage incoming emails and respond to customer and client queries.
• Maintain accurate records and job information within internal systems.
• Support the wider Gas Installation team with administrative and operational tasks.
• Undertake ad‑hoc duties to enhance departmental performance and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an administrative, scheduling or coordination role.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to prioritise workload and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional, customer‑focused attitude.
