Assistant Factory Controller – Dalston Factory

About the role

Join Nestlé's Dalston Factory finance team as an Assistant Factory Controller, providing comprehensive financial support and insight to drive cost efficiency and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support on all CAPEX related activities including validation of financials.
• Pro‑actively challenge assumptions to drive cost improvements across the factory.
• Provide visibility and forecasts around factory processes through analysis and reporting.
• Participate in month‑end processes, including journals and reconciliations.
• Identify and promote cost‑reduction initiatives to achieve costing objectives.
• Participate in business planning and prepare the factory standard cost budget.
• Identify and drive cost improvement opportunities through benchmarking.
• Support implementation of best practices and robust internal controls.
• Develop the factory’s understanding of financial data and build financial capabilities.
• Drive the factory’s NCE journey aligned with UK&I strategy.
• Act as custodian of financial compliance for the factory.
• Deputise for the Factory Financial Controller as required.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant or part‑qualified with finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong aptitude for creative problem solving and process improvement.
• Excellent attention to detail and understanding of business impact.
• Prior costing or factory accounting experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills to influence at all levels.
• Ability to prioritize in an ambiguous environment and deliver results.
