About the role

The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in leading a café, ensuring brand standards and core values are upheld while driving business performance. This senior leader works closely with sales, operations, and the team to maximize the café’s market potential.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the café’s financial performance and achieve key performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Sales to execute the sales and marketing plan and grow entrée counts year‑over‑year.
• Mentor and coach junior management staff on financial goals and operational excellence.
• Provide clear operating direction based on business strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
• Ensure consistent execution of systems and processes across all departments to meet brand standards.
• Support the General Manager in building a high‑performing team aligned with the café’s vision and values.
• Champion change initiatives and implement local and company programs successfully.
• Promote a guest‑first culture and respond to feedback from all channels.
• Assist in attracting, retaining, and developing talented staff.
