Assistant Head Housekeeper

About the role

The Assistant Head Housekeeper supports the Head Housekeeper in delivering high‑quality housekeeping services at the Holiday Inn Express Glasgow City Centre Riverside. You will lead a team of Housekeeping Assistants and Supervisors, ensuring rooms and public areas meet Atlas Hotels’ standards while providing an excellent guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, organise and motivate the housekeeping team to ensure they are in the right place at the right time.
• Supervise daily cleaning operations, room checks, public area upkeep and storage management.
• Conduct effective job check‑ins, coach staff, manage performance and handle under‑performance.
• Assist with rostering, ensure compliance with health, safety and brand standards, and manage complaints using service‑recovery principles.

Required profile

• Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Demonstrated people‑management skills, including coaching, performance management and motivating staff.
• Strong communication skills to relay information, updates and priorities to the team.
