Assistant Manager Designate – Retail Store Leadership

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Manager Designate to join our Savers store in Barnard Castle. This full‑time position involves leading a dynamic retail team, creating a welcoming environment and driving store performance across flexible shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a warm, supportive atmosphere for customers and staff.
• Inspire and develop store team members to achieve sales and service targets.
• Manage day‑to‑day store operations, including stock, merchandising and cash handling.
• Build relationships with the local community and represent the store at events.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety and visual standards.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to various store locations.
• At least 1 year of retail management experience.
• Strong delegation and people‑focused leadership skills.
