Assistant Manager

About the role

As an Assistant Manager at JD Sports you will support the Store Manager in delivering a high‑performing retail environment. You will help drive sales, uphold JD’s standards and develop the team to ensure an outstanding customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily store operations and help achieve sales targets and core KPIs.
• Lead and guide colleagues on the shop floor, allocating tasks and ensuring excellent service delivery.
• Maintain JD standards for visual merchandising, stock management and health & safety.
• Assist with staff scheduling, training and performance coaching.
• Monitor inventory levels and support stock replenishment processes.
• Analyse sales data and contribute to commercial planning.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager on promotional activities and visual displays.
