Assistant Manager

About the role

JD Sports is looking for an Assistant Manager to support store operations and drive performance in a fast‑paced, world‑class retail environment. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help deliver the premium JD standard, motivate the team and contribute to achieving sales and operational targets.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with daily store operations to meet sales targets and core KPIs.
• Lead and guide colleagues on the shop floor, allocating tasks and ensuring high‑quality service delivery.
• Maintain JD standards throughout the day, including visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Assist in coaching, training and developing team members to improve performance.
• Help monitor stock levels, conduct inventory checks and support loss prevention initiatives.
• Contribute to creating a positive customer experience and resolving issues promptly.
