Assistant Manager – Retail (Southampton)

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to support the day‑to‑day operations of a busy retail store in Southampton. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will help maintain high standards of customer service and store performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the manager in overseeing daily store operations and team performance.
• Ensure excellent customer service and resolve customer queries promptly.
• Assist with stock management, inventory accuracy and merchandising standards.
• Work with the team to achieve sales targets and key performance indicators.
• Schedule staff shifts to guarantee adequate coverage.
• Participate in recruitment, training and development of team members.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations.

• Previous experience in a retail environment.
