Assistant Psychologist – Child & Adolescent Mental Health

About the role

This is an opportunity to develop your clinical skills within a newly forming Kirklees CAMHS Mild‑Moderate Intervention Team. You will work alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence‑based mental health support for children, young people and families.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of evidence‑based interventions for mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
• Co‑facilitate therapeutic groups, workshops and psycho‑educational sessions under supervision.
• Assist with clinical assessment, information gathering and formulation.
• Undertake outreach and engagement work to reduce barriers to service access.
• Collaborate with schools, families and partner agencies to promote engagement.
• Help develop clinical resources and intervention materials.
• Support outcome monitoring, service evaluation, audit and quality improvement.
• Maintain high standards of clinical record keeping and contribute to multidisciplinary working.

Required profile

• Interest in child and adolescent mental health services.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to learn and develop clinical skills under supervision.
• Good communication and organisational abilities.
