Assistant Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a fast‑growing building‑envelopes contractor in Stockport. The role supports senior commercial staff across the full project lifecycle, from award to final account, and involves regular travel to sites across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly valuations for ongoing projects.
• Track and record variations and change orders.
• Maintain subcontractor orders and cost records.
• Assist with procurement and estimating activities.
• Support client relationship management and communication.
• Conduct site visits to ensure successful project delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in quantity surveying or a related discipline.
• Strong proficiency with digital tools for cost management.
• Self‑motivated and enthusiastic about career development.
• Willingness to travel UK‑wide and work flexibly.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
