Assistant Site Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of the Winterbrook Meadows development in Wallingford. The role focuses on coordinating internal works from second fix through to completion, helping the site stay on schedule, meet quality standards and deliver a high‑quality customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Support coordination and delivery of all internal works from second fix to handover, ensuring efficient sequencing of trades.
• Work closely with the Senior Site Team, consultants and subcontractors to maintain the programme and resolve on‑site challenges.
• Monitor progress of second‑fix activities, identify and escalate risks to minimise delays.
• Maintain clear communication with the Senior Site Team, providing regular updates on progress and issues.
• Build strong relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders to foster a collaborative site environment.
• Promote a positive, professional culture aligned with Berkeley Group values.
• Drive a strong Health & Safety culture on site, ensuring full compliance with legislation and company policies.
• Ensure all works meet statutory requirements, Berkeley standards and site processes.
• Monitor quality of finishes and workmanship, identifying and resolving defects promptly.
• Maintain accurate digital quality records using Fieldview EDM.
• Support high customer satisfaction, contributing to Net Promoter Score and site presentation standards.

Required profile

• Experience in coordinating construction activities from second fix to completion.
• Ability to work closely with senior site personnel, consultants and subcontractors.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Commitment to health and safety compliance and a focus on quality.
• Attention to detail in documentation and site presentation.
