Building Services Design Engineer Apprentice

About the role

Join one of the UK’s largest building engineering consultancies as a Building Services Design Engineer Apprentice. You will work on live projects from day one, gaining exposure to sectors such as healthcare, hospitality, retail and residential while developing a solid foundation in engineering design.

Key responsibilities

• Work on live projects across a variety of sectors, contributing to design and delivery.
• Produce detailed designs and drawings using the latest computer modelling software.
• Undertake site surveys, research emerging technologies and prepare engineering system designs and specifications.
• Monitor construction progress and liaise regularly with project teams, clients and end‑users.

Required profile

• Three A‑levels (including Maths and preferably Chemistry or Physics) or equivalent qualifications such as T‑Level, BTEC or a relevant apprenticeship.
• Genuine interest in a building‑services engineering career and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication, analytical and organisational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer modelling software for building‑services design.
• Ability to produce engineering specifications and detailed drawings.
