Assistant Site Manager – Newport

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join our South West region team at the Caerleon Grange development in Newport. You will support the Site Manager on‑site, ensuring that all construction activities follow the build programme and meet Miller Homes’ standards.

Key responsibilities

• Control all labour on site, including direct staff and subcontractors, coordinating activities plot by plot according to the build programme.
• Monitor site activities and subcontractor packages to ensure strict compliance with the Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan.
• Maintain site security, including traffic management, theft prevention, and public access control.
• Provide cover for the Site Manager during off‑site periods, meetings, holidays or sickness as required.

Required profile

• Experience in a similar role, preferably with a housebuilder.
• Ability to plan, organise and monitor subcontractor activity on a day‑by‑day basis.
• Positive can‑do attitude and desire to progress within the business; hold relevant industry qualifications and accreditations.
