Assistant Store Manager - Footasylum Doncaster

About the role

Footasylum, a UK retailer of streetwear and sportswear, is looking for an Assistant Store Manager for its Doncaster store. You will assist the Store Manager, lead teams, drive sales performance and deliver excellent customer service, acting as Store Manager in their absence. It suits candidates currently in a deputy store manager, assistant store manager, retail supervisor, retail manager, sales floor manager or team leader role.

Key responsibilities

• Sales: maximise the number of sales in-store
• Service: satisfy and build customer loyalty so they return
• Profit protection and stock control: monitor stock while keeping employees safe on company premises
• Merchandising, space, stock and display: display products to stimulate interest and entice customers
• Human resources: safeguard colleagues' interests by ensuring fair and consistent treatment in line with policies and procedures
• Training and recruitment: take part in planned activities that develop the company's skills, attitude and knowledge
• Profit and loss: control day-to-day store expenses
• Property: maintain the property portfolio
• Health and safety: ensure safety provisions on the premises are followed daily
• Forward planning and general duties: plan for the future and help run the unit efficiently

Required profile

• Genuine passion for fashion retail and alignment with Footasylum's values (Community, Collaborate, Challenge)
• Previous experience in fashion retail is highly desirable
• Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced retail environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt quickly
• Strong customer-first mindset and deep understanding of fashion retail trends
