Assistant Store Manager

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in daily operations, driving sales and ensuring high standards of customer service. This role involves leading the shop floor team, maintaining operational excellence, and contributing to the store’s commercial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with daily store operations to achieve sales targets and core KPIs.
• Lead and guide colleagues on the shop floor, allocating tasks and maintaining company standards.
• Assist with coaching, development and real‑time feedback for team members.
• Maintain high presentation and operational standards, including pricing accuracy and safe environment.
• Handle core operational duties such as cash handling, till checks, deliveries, stock audits and opening/closing routines.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a retail management or supervisory role (Assistant Store Manager or Supervisor).
• Strong leadership skills with ability to guide, support and develop colleagues.
• Ability to interpret KPI and sales data for commercial decision‑making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for professional customer interactions.
• Experience contributing to sales performance and KPI achievement in a retail environment.
