Business Development Manager

About the role

Portakabin is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sales and order‑winning activities for its site accommodation solutions in Cambuslang, Glasgow. You will promote the product range, build strong customer relationships and ensure commercial targets are consistently met or exceeded.

Key responsibilities

• Grow the business through targeted development, customer engagement and regular client visits.
• Apply comprehensive knowledge of Portakabin products, compliance and pricing to convert sales opportunities.
• Coordinate with colleagues to allocate, plan and prioritise work for maximum order‑winning potential.
• Manage key accounts to maximise retention and growth, and collaborate across functions to deliver excellent customer service from order win to project delivery.

Required profile

• Experience in a commercial, target‑driven environment, preferably B2B sales.
• Proven track record of delivering results and managing customer or account relationships.
• Strong commercial awareness of market trends and competitor activity.
• Confident negotiator with good influencing skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of sales systems such as SAP.
• Experience using CRM tools.
