Associate Director Capital Delivery

About the role

The Associate Director Capital Delivery will lead the Capital Delivery function for Gloucestershire Managed Services, overseeing a programme worth £38‑50 million. Reporting to the Strategic Asset Services Director, you will shape governance, delivery and capability across a growing portfolio of healthcare infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the capital programme, ensuring delivery against budget, schedule and quality targets.
• Develop and maintain PMO processes, governance frameworks and assurance mechanisms.
• Oversee commercial, procurement and contract management activities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
• Build, mentor and manage a multidisciplinary delivery team.
• Influence investment decisions and prioritisation of projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading large‑scale capital delivery or construction programmes.
• Strong understanding of project and programme management methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to develop governance, assurance and compliance structures.
• Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder relationships.
• Track record of delivering projects within the public services or healthcare sector.
