Associate Director, Local Markets FX Trading

About the role

The Associate Director, Local Markets FX Trading will drive growth of ANZ's Asian deliverable and non‑deliverable currency franchise. You will combine market expertise, client engagement and execution capabilities to price, market‑make, manage risk and monetise LMFX linear products.

Key responsibilities

• Manage risk and generate revenue across Asian deliverable FX and NDF products, including Spot, Forwards and Swaps.
• Provide competitive pricing and market‑making services while maintaining disciplined risk management.
• Partner with Sales to deepen client relationships, grow market share and identify new business opportunities.
• Monetise external eFX flows and enhance internalisation across the FX franchise.
• Analyse client flow and market behaviour using trading analytics and data tools to improve performance.
• Collaborate with global trading teams to deliver seamless market coverage and client execution.

Required profile

• Proven experience trading Asian deliverable FX and/or NDF products with strong knowledge of emerging market currencies.
• Demonstrated ability to generate revenue through market‑making, risk management and client flow monetisation.
• Strong understanding of Spot, Forward, Swap and NDF markets, liquidity, pricing and market structure.
• Sound risk management skills and ability to make clear decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative approach.
