Associate Director of Pharmacovigilance

About the role

This senior position provides scientific leadership for pharmacovigilance and safety science across both clinical development and post‑marketing products. You will work within a global team, influencing product safety strategy and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead signal evaluation, detection and benefit‑risk assessments for development and marketed products.
• Manage individual and aggregate case reporting, including preparation of DSURs and PBRERs.
• Contribute to global product safety strategy and support safety oversight in study management.
• Prepare and maintain CCDS, Investigator Brochures, Risk Management Plans and safety‑related labeling.
• Present complex scientific data to internal stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
• Collaborate with global teams to drive pharmacovigilance initiatives and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline.
• Post‑graduate qualification (MSc, PhD, PharmD, Medical degree) is advantageous.
• Significant experience in pharmacovigilance and safety science within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong understanding of GxP, regulated processes and the end‑to‑end clinical trial lifecycle.
• Experience leading post‑marketing safety activities and producing aggregate safety reports.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder‑management skills.
