Associate Finance Manager – Asset Management

About the role

We are seeking a qualified finance professional to join a leading asset manager in London. The role combines management accounting, financial controls, and finance transformation experience to support the firm’s upcoming system migration and reporting initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support the migration from Sage X3 to Sage Intacct in 2027, providing project assistance.
• Supervise AP, AR and GL processing teams and oversee month‑end journal entries.
• Prepare bi‑weekly finance reports, forecasts, monthly and quarterly management accounts, KPI dashboards and COO reports.
• Assist with regulatory reporting, including ICARA and quarterly FCA returns.
• Coordinate board meeting agendas, insurance renewals, corporate updates and tax compliance.
• Liaise with IT on Concur, cost dashboards and cash management, and with auditors and legal teams on schedules and enquiries.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with a minimum 2:1 degree.
• 2‑3 years post‑qualification experience in finance within an investment management firm.
• Strong grounding in UK bookkeeping, accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Experience in finance change programmes, system implementations and process improvement.
• Exposure to US and UK corporation taxation is advantageous.
