Associate Frontend Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Frontend Engineer to join Olive Tree Consulting’s technical team. The role is fully remote and supports a London‑based client, building internal tools that help advisors clarify management structures for partners.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable HTML, CSS and JavaScript to implement new features for internal advisory tools.
• Collaborate with consultants to translate client decision‑making requirements into functional front‑end solutions.
• Develop responsive layouts that prioritize readability and ease of use.
• Participate in code reviews and help maintain internal coding standards.
• Maintain a small library of reusable UI components and document them.
• Test interfaces across browsers to ensure consistent experience.
• Convert wireframes and written notes into working front‑end code.
• Identify and fix bugs or layout issues to keep tools polished.

Required profile

• Clear written communication style for remote coordination.
• Preference for simplicity and user‑centred design.
• Proactive in asking questions and seeking feedback.
• Ability to work independently while staying connected to the team.
• Strong attention to detail in spacing, fonts and overall polish.

Required skills

• Modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with at least one frontend framework such as React or Vue.
• Strong CSS knowledge, including Flexbox and Grid.
• HTML5.
• Responsive design techniques.
• Version control with Git.
• Portfolio or GitHub showcasing web projects.
