Associate – Infrastructure M&A (Investment Banking)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Associate to join our Infrastructure M&A team within a leading European investment bank. You will work on live sell‑side, buy‑side and strategic advisory mandates, collaborating directly with senior bankers, clients and advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Own execution workstreams across multiple M&A transactions.
• Lead and review financial models, including operating models, DCF, LBO and merger analyses.
• Manage analysts, overseeing valuation work, due diligence and client deliverables.
• Prepare pitch books, information memoranda, management presentations and board materials.
• Interact with clients, advisors and management teams throughout the deal lifecycle.
• Support origination efforts by providing sector coverage, market intelligence and pitch support.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of investment banking experience, preferably in infrastructure, energy or utilities M&A.
• Proven track record of executing transactions end‑to‑end.
• Strong academic background; MBA or CFA is a plus.
• Excellent client‑facing and commercial skills.

Required skills

• Financial modelling (operating models, DCF, LBO, merger analysis).
• Valuation techniques and transaction structuring.
