Associate – Professional Indemnity (Construction)

About the role

We are seeking a 4+ year PQE Associate to join the Construction arm of our Professional Indemnity team in Liverpool. The role involves working closely with partners on high‑value, multi‑party construction disputes and handling smaller construction claims independently. You may also advise on policy coverage and defend construction professionals in disciplinary proceedings.

Key responsibilities

• Review documents, prepare reports and conduct investigations.
• Handle your own smaller matters, liaise with insured parties and insurers.
• Instruct counsel/experts, draft pleadings and attend conferences, trials and disciplinary hearings.
• Manage disclosure, evidence review and routine correspondence.
• Ensure compliance with SRA Code of Conduct and attend seminars/training for insurer clients.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer.
• Experience in defendant insurance, professional indemnity and construction litigation.
