Associate Risk Transfer Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Risk Transfer Consultant to join a fast‑growing pensions advisory team. You will work on defined benefit pension risk transfer transactions, supporting trustees, sponsors and insurers throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of pension risk transfer transactions, from initial analysis to post‑transaction support.
• Prepare and review actuarial calculations, ensuring robust governance and compliance with market and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams to produce client deliverables and meet agreed timelines.
• Engage with trustees, sponsors and insurers to provide high‑quality advice at critical decision points.
• Contribute to new‑business initiatives and broader actuarial consulting activities.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified actuary (or strong progress through actuarial exams) with experience in defined benefit pensions.
• Demonstrated analytical ability and strong organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of managing multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
