Associate Solutions Engineer - Global Accounts

About the role

Snowflake is looking for an Associate Solutions Engineer dedicated to a strategic global financial services customer. You will be embedded in the technical relationship from day one, supporting the full sales cycle and post‑sale expansion while developing deep knowledge of the customer’s data environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end technical sales engagements for a single strategic Global Account, from discovery through proof‑of‑concept delivery and technical close.
• Build and deliver tailored demonstrations and solution presentations that align Snowflake’s platform capabilities with the customer’s data challenges and business objectives.
• Assist in designing and executing proof‑of‑concept engagements covering risk analytics, regulatory data platforms, fraud detection, customer intelligence, and AI/ML workloads.
• Develop a working knowledge of the customer’s existing data architecture, cloud environment, and technology stack to position Snowflake solutions accurately.
• Support the Account Executive with day‑to‑day deal activity, preparing technical responses to RFPs and removing technical blockers.
• Coordinate with Snowflake’s Professional Services, Support, and Product teams to ensure the customer receives the right resources at the right time.
• Build strong relationships with the customer’s data engineers, architects, and technical managers, becoming a trusted point of contact.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in pre‑sales solution engineering, data engineering, or technical consulting in enterprise B2B technology, with exposure to financial services organisations.
• Foundational understanding of cloud data platforms and modern data architectures, with the appetite to go deep fast.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, with the ability to write and debug scripts, build PoC pipelines, and work comfortably in a technical customer environment.
• Clear communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for both engineering and business audiences within a financial institution.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams within an active sales cycle.
• Genuine curiosity about AI and data technology, eager to develop expertise in Snowflake’s Cortex AI capabilities.
• Growth mindset: receptive to feedback, seeks coaching, and motivated to progress toward senior solution engineering responsibilities.
