Associate Solutions Engineer

About the role

Primer is building a unified payments infrastructure for global commerce. As an Associate Solutions Engineer you will act as a trusted technical advisor, helping merchants understand and integrate Primer’s platform to reduce complexity and capture more revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with the sales team to identify merchant pain points and demonstrate how Primer can solve them.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate complex concepts in simple language.
• Lead discovery sessions, solution‑design workshops, product demos and developer Q&As.
• Collaborate with Product to surface market feedback and propose new features or enhancements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a merchant‑facing role with a complex API product, preferably in payments.
• Comfortable leading discovery sessions and working with technical stakeholders at large merchants.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, able to make complicated topics simple.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work with Sales, Product, Engineering and clients.
