Audio Visual Designer

About the role

The Audio Visual Designer will translate client requirements into fully buildable technical designs for workplace technology projects. Working closely with sales, project management, technical services and installation teams, you will help create cutting‑edge environments that boost collaboration and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical designs and construction documentation for AV and workplace technology projects.
• Produce M&E drawings, system schematics, equipment rack layouts and ceiling plans.
• Create detailed network schedules and coordinate IT infrastructure requirements.
• Perform acoustic modelling and speaker coverage analysis using tools such as EASE or Soundvision.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders to support project delivery.
• Identify and resolve design clashes in collaboration with Project Managers and Technical Services.
• Manage design changes and project variations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all documentation meets industry best practice and quality standards.

Required profile

• Experience in a design role within AV, workplace technology, smart buildings or IT infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of M&E requirements (power, data, cooling, containment).
• Ability to solve technical design and integration challenges.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience on commercial fit‑out or workplace projects is highly advantageous.

• AutoCAD for technical drawings and schematics.
