Audit & Accounts Semi‑Senior

About the role

An established and highly regarded accountancy practice is looking to recruit an Audit & Accounts Semi‑Senior to join its growing team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in both audit and accounts preparation who wants to develop their career within a supportive and progressive practice.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders, partnerships and LLPs.
• Assist with audit assignments, including planning, fieldwork and completion.
• Prepare and maintain high‑quality audit files.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding to day‑to‑day queries.
• Work closely with Managers and Partners on a varied portfolio of clients.
• Support and collaborate with junior members of the team.
• Ensure work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years' experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts and assisting on audit assignments.
• AAT qualified, with desire to study towards ACCA (or equivalent).
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive approach with ability to manage workload effectively.
• Positive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
