Audit & Accounts Semi‑Senior – £30k‑£38k + Study Support

About the role

We are seeking an Audit & Accounts Semi‑Senior to join a well‑established accountancy practice in Manchester. The role offers a balanced mix of audit and accounting work across a diverse portfolio of owner‑managed businesses, with strong support for professional study.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Collaborate closely with senior team members and managers on a varied client portfolio.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, responding to day‑to‑day queries.
• Develop technical knowledge through practical experience and professional study.
• Utilise cloud‑based and desktop accounting software for client work.

Required profile

• Approximately two years’ experience within an accountancy practice.
• Experience preparing accounts for a range of business entities.
• Good working knowledge of accounting software.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with colleagues and clients.
• Proactive attitude with excellent organisation and teamwork abilities.
• AAT studies underway or completed, with an interest in progressing to ACCA.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.
