Audit & Accounts Senior

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join our independent accountancy and business advisory practice. You will work with ambitious clients, delivering high‑quality audit engagements and preparing accurate statutory accounts while providing strategic financial insight.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and complete audit assignments for a diverse portfolio of retail and other sector clients.
• Prepare full statutory accounts in accordance with UK accounting standards.
• Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication.
• Assist junior staff and supervise audit teams as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in audit and accounts within an accountancy practice.
• Previous roles such as Audit Senior, Accounts Senior, Practice Accountant or similar.
• Either qualified through professional exams or qualified by experience.
• Experience working with retail clients is essential.
