Management Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join a well‑established, growing organisation in Beaconsfield. Working within a small, collaborative finance team, you will support the Financial Controller by preparing accurate financial information, aiding business decisions and maintaining strong financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting analysis.
• Review and reconcile general ledger and control accounts.
• Perform accrual, pre‑payment and cost‑of‑sales adjustments.
• Monitor work in progress, loan accounts and cost‑to‑complete provisions.
• Produce detailed variance analysis on margins and overheads.
• Prepare management reports including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash‑flow statements.
• Support statutory accounts preparation and corporation tax calculations.
• Liaise with auditors and external advisors.
• Maintain short‑term cash‑flow forecasts and assist with funding proposals.
• Contribute to annual budgeting, forecasting and process improvement projects.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in a professional accounting or auditing role with management accounting exposure.
• Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or part‑qualified.
• Well‑organised, flexible and able to take on additional tasks.
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of general ledger, budgeting, forecasting and accounting standards.
• Good interpersonal skills to act as a link between finance and other business areas.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel modelling for forecasting purposes.
• Familiarity with COINS accounting software (preferred).
