Audit & Accounts Senior – Stockport

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is based in Stockport and offers the chance to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries. You will split your time evenly between audit assignments and the preparation of year‑end accounts and corporate tax returns.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, covering group entities, large standalone companies and not‑for‑profits.
• Prepare and review year‑end accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, supporting their professional development.
• Carry out corporation tax compliance work alongside audit and accounts duties.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearing completion of the qualification.
• Proven experience in a mixed audit and accounts role, with a track record of leading audit assignments.
