Audit and Accounts Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager to join a well‑established accountancy practice in Guildford. The role combines responsibility for audit engagements and statutory accounts with the development of junior staff and close collaboration with partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of audit and accounts clients from planning through to completion.
• Lead statutory audits, conduct risk assessments and oversee audit testing.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts for a diverse range of entities.
• Review work of junior team members to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and present management letters and audit findings to clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Support and mentor junior staff, providing technical guidance.
• Assist partners with client development and advisory projects.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Significant experience in audit and accounts within a UK practice.
• Proven track record of managing client portfolios and leading audit assignments.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and UK auditing standards.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing abilities.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
