Audit and Accounts Senior

About the role

As part of the audit and accounts team, you will work closely with clients, helping them achieve their business and personal goals. You will collaborate with the practice's partners and provide business advice that supports crucial decision‑making and strategy development.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing accounts for statutory, management, and ad‑hoc purposes
• Planning, budgeting, finalising audit files and managing the audit process efficiently
• Collaborating with the team to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations
• Delegating and overseeing work while providing learning strategies for trainees
• Mentoring and supporting trainees
• Identifying cost‑saving opportunities or improvements for clients by challenging existing methodologies
• Supporting managers and partners with their portfolios and special projects

Required profile

• Strong team player with the ability to work independently
• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) – ideally
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks and Iris (advantageous but not essential)
• Solid audit experience or a strong willingness to learn
• Excellent analytical skills with a commercial approach to assignments
• Strong organisational and project‑management skills, experienced in managing audit and accounts preparation from planning to completion
• Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
• Proactive and determined attitude
