About the role
Rutherford Briant is seeking an experienced auditor to step into an Assistant Manager position within its growing audit team in Cambridge. You will lead audit engagements across diverse sectors, build strong client relationships, and support the development of junior staff.
Key responsibilities
- Lead audit assignments and ensure delivery in line with professional and regulatory standards.
- Manage client relationships, providing high‑quality service throughout the audit process.
- Review and coach junior team members, offering technical guidance.
- Identify audit issues and propose practical, proactive solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and drive efficiencies across engagements.
Required profile
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Previous experience delivering external audit assignments within an accountancy practice.
- Strong client‑facing abilities with experience managing stakeholder relationships.
