Audit Manager – Not‑for‑Profit Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead the delivery of audit and assurance services for a diverse portfolio of not‑for‑profit organisations in Leeds. The role sits within a specialist team of a respected chartered accountancy firm and offers the chance to shape audit practice for charities, housing associations, educational bodies and social enterprises.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and finalise audit assignments for not‑for‑profit clients, ensuring high‑quality deliverables.
• Manage the audit process from initial risk assessment through to reporting and follow‑up.
• Lead, mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Build and maintain senior client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Contribute to the development of audit methodology and firm‑wide best practices.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with several years of audit experience.
• Demonstrated experience auditing not‑for‑profit entities.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on client service.
• Eligibility to work in the UK without restriction.
