Audit Semi-Senior

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Audit Semi‑Senior to join our growing team in Chelmsford. You will work with a diverse client base, including family‑owned businesses and high‑net‑worth individuals, delivering high‑quality audit and tax services.

Key responsibilities

• Plan audit engagements and lead on‑site audit teams (approximately 70% of time).
• Prepare accounts and draft tax computations, addressing client queries and escalating complex matters.
• Review junior team members’ work to ensure accuracy before submission.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, offering constructive feedback.
• Manage assignment time and budgets to ensure timely delivery.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified ACA or ACCA.
• Experience conducting statutory audits within a UK accounting practice.
• Client‑facing experience.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102.
