Audit Semi‑Senior – Accounting

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Audit Semi‑Senior to join a Top 20 UK firm. You will work with a varied client portfolio, gain hands‑on responsibility early and be part of an established audit team that values personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Prepare audit working papers and supporting documentation.
• Carry out audit testing and identify key findings.
• Work directly with clients, responding to day‑to‑day queries.
• Prepare statutory accounts and financial statements where required.
• Ensure work complies with FRS 102, UK GAAP and auditing standards.
• Support Audit Seniors and Managers with planning and completion work.
• Mentor and assist junior team members where appropriate.

Required profile

• Currently studying towards ACA or ACCA qualification.
• At least two years of UK external audit experience within practice.
• Good understanding of FRS 102 and UK GAAP.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organised, able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ambition to progress.
• Full right to work in the UK.
