Audit Senior – Accountancy Practice in Dartford

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Audit Senior to join a medium‑sized accountancy practice in Dartford. You will lead audit engagements, work closely with a diverse client base, and help maintain the highest standards of service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
• Prepare and review financial statements for clients across various sectors.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on audit and financial matters.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and feedback.
• Identify potential issues and deliver practical recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure audit files are completed to a high standard and submitted within deadlines.
• Assist in developing and implementing internal audit processes and best practices.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in accounting and audit regulations.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA).
• Strong technical knowledge of audit and accounting standards.
• Proven experience managing audits from planning to completion.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining client relationships.
• Experience supervising and mentoring junior team members.
• Proactive problem‑solving approach with keen attention to detail.
