Audit Senior

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Guildford. The Audit Senior will own audit assignments from planning through to completion, working primarily with owner‑managed businesses across the South East.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, lead and deliver audit assignments, both on‑site and remotely.
• Prepare and review audit documentation to a high standard.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the audit process.
• Identify audit and commercial issues and propose practical solutions with managers and partners.
• Supervise, coach and review the work of junior auditors and trainees.
• Manage budgets and timelines to ensure assignments are delivered on schedule.
• Maintain and develop long‑term client relationships.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or a late‑stage ACA/ACCA student ready for a senior role.
• Ambitious, ownership‑mindset and keen to work with owner‑managed businesses.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build trusted client relationships.
• Experience in audit fieldwork and managing audit teams.

• Salary between £40,000 and £52,000 per year, dependent on experience.
