Audit Senior – Public Practice (Rickmansworth)

About the role

We are seeking an Audit Senior (or Semi‑Senior) to join our award‑nominated audit team in Rickmansworth. You will work on a varied portfolio of clients, from charities and schools to large corporates with turnovers up to £250 million, delivering high‑quality audit engagements while developing your technical expertise. The role provides a balanced mix of client interaction and technical development, supporting your journey towards chartered status.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and supervise audits, ensuring timely completion within budget.
• Conduct specialist audits including FSA, pensions, solicitors, charities and schools.
• Prepare draft corporation tax computations and statutory/consolidated accounts under FRS 102.
• Draft audit findings and recommendations for client management.
• Assist junior staff with technical accounting and audit issues.
• Produce group reporting responses as component auditor and handle audit‑exempt entities.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or final exams imminent); degree not essential.
• Minimum 2.5 years of practice audit experience in a comparable or larger firm.
• Proven ability to prepare complete audit files with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with clients and team members.
