Auditor – Semi Senior to Manager (Exeter)

About the role
We are seeking an experienced auditor to join a well‑known Chartered Accountancy firm in Exeter. The role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of audit engagements, progressing from semi‑senior to manager level.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and complete audits in line with the firm’s procedures, supported by senior staff.
- Review statutory accounts, corporation tax computations and returns.
- Prepare reports for presentation by directors during client meetings.
- Liaise directly with clients, building strong relationships and handling queries proactively.
- Manage client expectations, budgets and deadlines.
Required profile
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or part‑qualified).
- Minimum one year of practice experience in audit.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Methodical, accurate and inquisitive approach to work.
- Motivated and effective both independently and as part of a team.
Required skills
- Proficiency with computerised audit, accounts and tax software.
- Strong IT skills.
