Automotive Graphic Designer

About the role

We are seeking an Automotive Graphic Designer to create high‑impact visual concepts for vehicle surfaces. The role blends 2D graphic creation with precise 3D mapping, supporting product development from concept through to virtual reality review and physical prototyping.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 2D graphic concepts such as typography, badging, decals and livery themes for automotive briefs.
• Translate artwork onto complex 3D vehicle surfaces without distortion.
• Collaborate with exterior, interior and component designers, as well as modelers, to ensure a cohesive surface language.
• Prepare detailed digital models for high‑end rendering and real‑time VR reviews.
• Explore emerging tools including AI‑assisted creation, generative design and parametric workflows.
• Support prototyping by producing scaled vector plots for physical validation.

Required profile

• Extensive professional graphic design experience focused on automotive graphics.
• Proven track record of successful decal, stripe, badge or livery projects.
• Degree in graphic, automotive, transportation or industrial design, or equivalent experience.

What we offer

• Competitive hourly rate starting at £30.18, rising to £39.55 after 12 weeks.
• Contract until the end of 2027, with the possibility of extension.
