Automotive Telematics Engineer – Field Installation (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking skilled Automotive Telematics Engineers to join a leading UK telematics installation company. Working from your home address, you will travel to client sites to install and commission telematics devices, using a PDA to log each job.

Key responsibilities

• Install and commission vehicle telematics equipment on a variety of car models.
• Use a PDA to record installation details and ensure accurate data capture.
• Communicate professionally with clients on‑site and provide updates as required.
• Travel across designated regions to perform installations safely and efficiently.
• Maintain installation records and report any issues to the technical team.

Required profile

• Experienced installation engineer with a background in auto electrics or telematics, OR a candidate with solid motor‑vehicle knowledge and hands‑on experience.
• Ability to work independently after training and follow detailed installation procedures.
• Strong communication skills for client interaction.
