AV Programmer / Commissioning Engineer – Bespoke Systems

About the role

We are seeking an AV Programmer / Commissioning Engineer to join a specialist integrator delivering fully bespoke audio‑visual solutions across the North West. The role involves programming, configuring and commissioning custom AV control systems on complex, project‑led installations.

Key responsibilities

• Program and configure AV control platforms such as Crestron, Extron or Q‑Sys for project‑specific installations.
• Commission fully integrated AV solutions on‑site, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
• Integrate AV systems with broader building infrastructure and networking.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in diverse environments.
• Produce technical documentation for custom‑built systems.
• Support projects from build through to handover and provide client training on specialist equipment.

Required profile

• Proven experience programming AV control systems (Crestron, Extron, Q‑Sys or similar).
• Background in integrated or bespoke AV projects rather than standard installs.
• Experience with audio DSP configuration (QSC, Biamp or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of AV integration, networking and system performance.
• Methodical problem‑solving approach and confident client communication.
• Full UK driving licence.
