Azure Data Engineer – Remote, up to £65,000

About the role

We are looking for an Azure Data Engineer to join a global leader in chemical cleaning and environmental solutions. You will design, build and optimise scalable data platforms on Azure, supporting a fast‑moving data strategy and delivering pipelines that power critical reporting and analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Python.
• Develop and manage data solutions with Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics and other Azure services.
• Support integration and migration of key data sources.
• Write, optimise and maintain SQL queries for efficient data transformation.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and improve data quality, performance and reliability across the platform.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer delivering cloud‑based solutions.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Solid understanding of ETL processes, data integration and pipeline development.
• Advanced SQL skills and Python/PySpark experience for data processing.
• Exposure to Power BI or other reporting tools is beneficial.
