Baby Room Lead

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Early Years professional to lead our baby room, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 0‑2 years. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of the room, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety and learning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the baby‑room team to deliver exceptional childcare.
• Plan and implement engaging activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Monitor and support children’s learning, development and wellbeing.
• Ensure safeguarding, health & safety and nursery policies are consistently followed.
• Build strong partnerships with parents and carers.
• Mentor and support team members, fostering a positive working culture.
• Maintain accurate records and observations.

Required profile

• Level 3 Early Years qualification (or higher).
• Previous experience working in a nursery baby room.
• Experience leading or supervising a team.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting children’s early development.
