Backend Engineer – Retail Media

About the role

We are looking for a senior Backend Engineer to join our new Retail Media team. You will design, build and maintain high‑load web services that power ad placements, bidding and analytics for ecommerce retailers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain real‑time backend services using Python and FastAPI.
• Write and manage AWS CloudFormation scripts, Jenkins jobs and GitHub Actions for deployment.
• Set up observability, monitoring and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty and AWS CloudWatch.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and stability testing frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional technical and business partners to deliver new features.

Required profile

• Strong computer‑science background with networking knowledge.
• Experience building high‑load, real‑time services.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (CloudFormation or Terraform).
• Hands‑on experience improving CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent English communication skills.
